Yoga Therapy for Adults
Private yoga therapy with Leigh is holistic and comprehensive. She helps clients with emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual growth and transformation. Often a client comes for a particular issue that is causing stress or suffering. With warm, compassionate presence Leigh listens to you and your current experience without judgement. Each session is approximately 60 – 75 minute in length.
Short discussions at the beginning of each session will help guide the direction of your practice and allow Leigh to offer therapeutic support as appropriate to incorporate in your wellness program. From there, Leigh leads you through a practice designed to meet your current state and mood. For example, if you are feeling low energy then the practice begins gently and slowly and often on the ground. From there, up-regulating poses and breathing practices will be incorporated to create more balance in the nervous system.
Typically, practices include breath work, movement, relaxation, meditation, sound, ritual, contemplative practices, or other therapeutic techniques that support your healing process and well-being. Following each session, Leigh sends you your customized practice via email so you can integrate what you've learned into your daily life.
